Donor & Contribution Policy

Purpose

This policy governs how the Foundation solicits, accepts, records, and acknowledges contributions.

Charitable status

Contributions are received by Firebrand Revivalists™. Its status is stated in full on the Governance page. Donors should not assume any particular tax treatment of a contribution and should consult their own advisers.

How contributions are received

Generational Legacy Foundation is a charitable program of Firebrand Revivalists™. Contributions are made to Firebrand, which receives, administers, and controls donated funds. Firebrand may use contributions to support the Generational Legacy Foundation program and eligible charitable purposes consistent with Firebrand’s mission.

Donations are not gifts to a specific child, family, attorney, case, or other individual. Donors may express a charitable preference, but Firebrand retains complete discretion and control over whether, when, and how funds are distributed. Assistance is not guaranteed.

Designated gifts

A donor may express a charitable preference. No gift may be directed to a named individual, family, attorney, or case, and a donor may not select a recipient.

This restriction protects the integrity of the review process and the privacy of the families the program serves, and it follows from the control and discretion described above.

Gifts the Foundation may decline

The Foundation may decline any contribution, including where acceptance would create a conflict of interest, impose an unacceptable condition, or be inconsistent with its charitable purposes.

Acknowledgement and records

Contributions are recorded and acknowledged in writing. The Foundation maintains records of contributions received and of how funds are applied.

Refunds

Requests to refund a contribution should be directed to the Foundation and will be considered on their facts.

Donor privacy

The Foundation does not sell, rent, or trade donor information. Donors may request that their gift not be publicly acknowledged.
