We believe this work is entrusted, not merely administered. Within its charitable purpose and applicable law, the Foundation prayerfully discerns the circumstances it takes on. Discernment shapes which matters are accepted; it never substitutes for the evidence below.
Identity and background verification is completed before any approval. A sense of leading does not replace a background check.
Relevant court records and agency documentation are reviewed to confirm that a direction has genuinely been established by the professionals involved.
Financial need is confirmed, along with the specific proposed use of funds and who would ultimately be paid.
Where appropriate, qualified attorneys, social workers, child-welfare professionals, or other specialists are consulted. Consultation informs the Foundation’s decision. It does not direct anyone else’s.
Potential conflicts of interest are evaluated in every matter and recorded. A person with a conflict takes no part in the review, discussion, or approval.
The Foundation confirms that the requested assistance is consistent with the safety of the child and with its charitable purposes — ahead of any adult’s preference, including an applicant’s or a referrer’s.
Approval is independent of the person who reviewed the request, is documented along with its basis, and is subject to financial controls.

Why we cannot say yes to every request
The Foundation reviews each request carefully, and it will not be able to meet every need it sees. Resources are finite, and each matter is weighed against the safety of the child and the Foundation's charitable purpose. Saying so plainly is more respectful than implying otherwise.
